bloggin'?
So here I begin, with my entries about me, my life, and whatever it is that people blog about.
It is winter outside (and a little inside, at 60 degrees!), and I have found myself snowed in already quite a bit. Whilst I dream of spring and flowers popping up out of the ground and on the trees, I begin a new, rather public venture of "putting myself out there"...

summer on its way
So let's try this again. Last post was in winter, after a heavy snowstorm. Looking back, it was beautiful, no? Now the weather has warmed up after another chilly winter, and I am in another busy year of teaching, house work, and more. Ironman travel begins for me next month, which means long hours and scenic locales...and hopefully some good eats!

keeping the tires rolling...
So I'm the first to admit, I haven't been riding much, and getting the rollers out just hasn't happened yet. But, I have gone a couple snowy-assed bike rides. Whee! My amazing 29er bike has turned out to be an excellent snowbike, and I made the trip up to my neighbor's house both times with near aplomb (I say 'near' due to the slip n' fall incurred during the last trip home... ice under fluffy snow can be treachorous!). The Goodmans live about a mile and a half from me. Me and my Weeze rode up there on Christmas day for brunch (I came loaded with bacon!), and again last weekend after we got another 6 inches (or more??) of snow. Having grown up in midwestern winters, it was a nice jaunt down memory lane as well...
The super-nerd in me also loves the added bonus of snow-biking : the ol' melt n' clean effect ... oh yeah. Like new tires, baby.
Cheers, & here we go with the bloggin, we'll see where it goes!
